The CEO of the Ukrainian energy company DTEK announced that the Russian attacks on power stations in Ukraine led to damage to a large number of Ukrainian power stations, especially five of the company's stations out of six that the company owns in Ukraine.
The company announced that the total or partial damage to its five stations led to a reduction in its production capacity by 80%. Which means that the company will need at least 18 months to restructure and operate those damaged stations.
The company added that the damage to these stations can be estimated at about $300 million. In this regard, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced that his country would respond to what he called “despicable Russian strikes” on Ukrainian energy facilities with the help of Western countries such as America and Europe.
