Data from Russian oil refineries showed that Russia's oil production from March 21 to 27 witnessed a noticeable increase; The average daily production reached 5.13 million barrels, which is the highest rate in 10 months.
On the other hand, Russian oil refineries recorded a lower rate of refining throughout March – until March 27 – compared to February by 13%, when the average was 5.25 million barrels per day.
Russian oil and refineries have been greatly affected by the war with Ukraine from 2022 until now. The total number of refineries affected by the war was 12, but Russian refineries began to recover somewhat in March, and the results of this were evident in the advanced refining rate of those refineries that was observed in late March.
Commenting on the slight recovery of Russian oil refineries, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that this recovery would be temporary; Because his country intends to intensify air strikes on Russian refineries in the coming period.
