Abstract:
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has placed increasing pressure on global food supply chains; Food prices have risen sharply over the past two years, and food supply chains have been affected.
In addition, agriculture and food industries use energy for various purposes, such as ammonia, which is the starting point for all mineral nitrogen fertilizers, electricity needed for automatic water irrigation, fuel consumption for agricultural machinery, and energy needed at various stages of food processing, packaging, transportation, and distribution; Therefore, this article will discuss in detail the statistics on the energy and food crisis since the Russian-Ukrainian war, and then it will end by finding solutions that countries can apply to confront this crisis.
