The Chilean company "ENAP Cepetrol" seeks to expand the scope of its activities in Egypt, through the acquisition of new oil concession areas and exploration and prospecting for crude oil in the country.
In this context, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Engineer Tarek El-Molla, met with representatives of the Chilean company “ENAP Sepetrol.” During the meeting, the company's activities in Egypt and its future plans in the Eastern and Western Desert regions were discussed.
Engineer Tarek El-Mulla stressed the importance of the successful partnership between the oil sector in Egypt and the Chilean company, pointing out that the existing cooperation represents a serious and fruitful model.
He pointed out that the Chilean company is seeking to acquire new concession areas. With the aim of intensifying research and exploration operations and increasing production in the Egyptian oil sector.
For his part, the president of the Chilean company, Julio Friedman, affirmed the company's commitment to working in Egypt and strengthening its position as a strategic partner for the oil sector in Cairo, explaining that the company possesses advanced expertise and technologies in the fields of research and exploration.
It is noteworthy that the Chilean company's total production of crude oil amounts to about 10,000 barrels per day, and its investments in Egypt so far amount to about 581 million dollars, and the company seeks to increase it in the next stage, by obtaining new oil concession areas.
