Abstract:
The continent of Africa is presenting itself strongly on the global stage, as a potential alternative to supply European Union countries with their oil and natural gas needs, in light of the current escalating tensions in Russian-Western relations in the midst of the continuing Russian war The Ukrainian policy since February 2022 – which prompted Europe to adopt a new policy It aims to reduce Russian imports of natural gas by two-thirds by the end of 2022 and end dependence on Russian oil and gas before 2030.

The United States of America also imposed an immediate ban on Russian gas, with expectations that Africa will be able to fill this void in the coming years, which will strengthen Africa’s position and influence at the international level.
