World leaders meet in Riyadh to discuss cooperation, growth and energy in light of global tensions

The World Economic Forum will hold a special meeting in Riyadh on Sunday and Monday under the title “International Cooperation, Growth, and Energy for Development.” About a thousand officials from 92 countries will gather to discuss pressing issues facing the world, with a particular focus on the war in Gaza, broader tensions in the Middle East and energy security.

In addition to focusing on the conflict in Gaza, the meeting will also discuss a wide range of interconnected global challenges, including climate change, poverty, inequality, growth and energy. The forum aims to find scalable solutions to these challenges by strengthening international cooperation and dialogue.

The meeting is attended by many prominent figures, such as: Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, Bisher Al-Khasawneh, Prime Minister of Jordan, Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar, and Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
