“Oman” strengthens its position in green hydrogen production with two agreements worth $11 billion

Oman Hydrogen Company signed two historic agreements to develop two huge green hydrogen production projects in the Dhofar Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The total investment value of the two projects amounts to 11 billion US dollars. Which makes them one of the largest renewable energy projects in the region.

According to what was announced by the Oman News Agency, Oman is strengthening its position as a leader in the field of green hydrogen, through the signing of the two historic agreements between the Oman Hydrogen Company and an alliance that includes the EDP F Group, Power Company, and Yamna Company.

The Omani Agency indicated that the two projects will contribute to raising the total hydrogen production capacity in the Sultanate of Oman to 1.38 million tons annually by 2030, pointing out that these projects are expected to provide new job opportunities and contribute to diversifying the national economy and enhancing Oman’s position as a global center for green hydrogen production. .

Green hydrogen is a promising source of clean and sustainable energy. It is produced using solar and wind energy.
