A historic agreement between “Norway” and “India” in the field of green ammonia

Yara, a Norwegian company specializing in the manufacture of fertilizers and ammonia, signed a historic agreement with AM Green, an Indian company specializing in the field of clean energy. To sell its green ammonia production, in a huge step towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainability in various industries.

This contract represents a milestone in Yara’s journey towards a carbon-free future. It guarantees the sale of large quantities of green ammonia, which is a clean alternative to traditional ammonia produced using fossil fuels.

This agreement strengthens the strategic cooperation between Yara and AM Green, and allows the two companies to benefit from their diverse experiences and capabilities to enhance their position in the global green ammonia market.

The contract stipulates the supply of more than half of the production of the first phase of green ammonia at the AM Green plant in the Kakinada region of India, and the plant is scheduled to begin operating at full production capacity by 2027.
