Lotus launched its new electric car, Emeya, at a starting price of 106,400 euros, which puts it in direct competition with the German Porsche Taycan and the American Lucid Air.
According to the British company, the Emeya car comes with a saloon design that combines the beauty of coupe lines, as it is 14.5 meters long and has a wheelbase of about 3 meters, which provides enough space for three people in the back seats.
Regarding propulsion systems, the basic models rely on two electric motors with a power of up to 450 kilowatts (603 hp), while the power of the higher models can reach 675 kilowatts (905 hp) with a torque of up to 1,000 Newton meters.
Thanks to this tremendous capacity, the Emeya car accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.8 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 252 kilometers per hour. The engines cooperate with a 102 kilowatt-hour battery, providing a range of between 485 and 610 kilometers on a full charge.
