Torbjörn Tornqvist, CEO of Gunvor, said that the Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries and oil terminals – which occurred last week – would delay Russia's ability to refine approximately 600,000 barrels per day of oil.
Tornqvist added that the problem of refining Russian oil will consequently lead to the problem of exporting distilled oil, of which the exported quantity is expected to decrease by about 200 thousand barrels per day.
Tornqvist indicated that diesel futures prices continued to rise in the last four sessions, while gasoline futures prices rose in the last six sessions.
The company "Ganvor" – which was an important player in transporting Russian gas before the war but quickly closed its activity in Russia after the war – announced its expectations for the growth of oil supply this year. She said that despite Ukraine's strikes on Russia, global oil supplies will not be significantly affected. Because the United States of America is expected to increase its oil exports this year at a rate that may range between 700 to 800 thousand barrels per day, in addition to oil exporting countries that are not members of the OPEC group, which are not expected to reduce their exports this year than before.
