Oil processing rates in Russia fell over the past week; The refineries entered into seasonal maintenance work after the Ukrainian drone attacks.

Overall, refining rates in Russia averaged 5.27 million barrels per day in the week ending April 24, a slight increase from the previous week. However, refineries were able to reorganize themselves, use spare capacity and begin repairing damaged units.

Some of the targeted refineries are still operating at lower rates than before, while other facilities are undergoing seasonal maintenance or emergency repairs.

In contrast, some other refineries reduced production for maintenance or export work, and despite the recent declines, one refinery increased production significantly over the past week as planned maintenance work began.

The floods also temporarily shut down a refinery, but it has since returned to work, and another refinery increased production by 14,000 barrels per day.

Refineries processed 5.24 million barrels per day from April 1 to 24, down slightly from March when higher prices helped prevent a third monthly decline.
