Kuwait opened Al-Zour Refinery, one of the largest refineries in the world, and it will contribute to strengthening its position as a regional center for oil refining and exporting high-quality petroleum products.

Al-Zour Refinery is distinguished by its ability to produce high-quality oil derivatives that meet the needs of various sectors, including aviation fuel, diesel, chemical naphtha, and low-sulfur fuel oil.

These products are exported to more than 30 countries in the region and the world, including Asian countries such as: Japan, the Emirates, Qatar, Malaysia, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and India, and African countries such as: Egypt, Djibouti, Tanzania, Mozambique, and Namibia, in addition to the Netherlands. France, the United Kingdom, and Spain.

Al-Zour Refinery is characterized by high flexibility in refining operations. It was designed to receive various types of Kuwaiti oils, including heavy oils.

Al-Zour Refinery also contains the largest complex of waste oil desulfurization units in the world. Which contributes to reducing harmful emissions and protecting the environment.

It is expected that the Al-Zour Refinery will contribute to strengthening the Kuwaiti economy by creating new job opportunities and attracting foreign investments. It will also contribute to diversifying sources of income and achieving financial stability in the long term.
