“Russia” aims to reduce oil production during the second quarter of 2024

March 27, 2024

Russia asked its oil companies to reduce production during the second quarter of this year 2024 to the level of 9 million barrels per day by the end of June, according to what Reuters reported from sources in the oil sector.

The sources stated that the Russian government has allocated targets for each company to meet its agreed-upon quota in the OPEC+ alliance.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated earlier this March that Russia would reduce its oil production and exports by an additional 471,000 barrels per day in the second quarter within the framework of the OPEC+ alliance. He pointed out that Russian oil production reached 9.5 million barrels per day in Last February.
