The British company Cleantech Lithium stated that it is now able to produce lithium chloride in Chile after extracting lithium from Chilean territory.

From its operations in Chile, the company intends to produce the equivalent of a ton of lithium with the aim of producing batteries on a monthly basis. The company is also seeking in the field of battery production, as it will invest in North America to produce lithium carbonate.

The company did not announce the details of the deals it will conclude with 5 other companies to invest in lithium, but it is expected that these deals will be completed by the end of the third quarter of this year.

Chile is distinguished by its lithium reserves, in addition to its policies that make it easier for investors to be present in this field in Chile. Chilean President Gabriel Buric made a decision in April 2023 stipulating cooperation between the Chilean government and private companies, whether foreign or local, with the aim of cooperating with each other to extract lithium and utilize it in the battery industry. Which consequently led to a 40% reduction in lithium prices.
