Russian Energy Minister Alexei Likhachev stated that the share of nuclear energy in the Russian energy balance in the second half of the twenty-first century is likely to rise to one-third from 20% at the present time. Likhachev confirmed during the plenary session of the Atom Expo 2024 Forum that the share Nuclear power generation in Russia should rise by 2045 to reach 25%.
The director of the Russian Rosatom Energy and Nuclear Industries Company announced that increasing the share of nuclear energy to one-third by the second half of the twentieth century is something and a goal that can be achieved. In light of this, the activities of the 13th International Forum “Atom Expo 2024” were launched in the Sirius Federal Territory of Sochi, southern Russia. The forum activities will continue for a period of 3 days.
