Last week, crude oil and gasoline inventories in the United States saw a decline, while distillate inventories rose.
Data from the American Petroleum Institute showed a decline in crude oil inventories by 1.923 million barrels in the week ending July 5, while gasoline inventories fell by 2.954 million barrels.
On the other hand, distillate stocks, which include diesel and heating oil, rose by 2.342 million barrels.
These data indicate a continued decline in demand for gasoline in the United States during the summer season, while demand for distillates increases as winter approaches.
