United Solar Holding Company, a leading Omani renewable energy company, announced its collaboration with several prominent local utility and services companies to support its massive polysilicon manufacturing project at the Port of Sohar and the Free Zone.
The $1.35 billion project is the first polysilicon plant in the region, with a production capacity of 100,000 tons per year.
It is expected to play a key role in enhancing Oman’s position as a global producer of high-quality polysilicon, a key component in the manufacturing of solar panels.
The agency is interested in studies of energy security, and its political and geopolitical effects, as well as the effects of energy security on stability in the system and international peace.
