Japanese firm Osaka Gas has signed a long-term agreement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for the supply of up to 0.8 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year.
This marks the first such deal between the two companies, with the contract expected to commence in the late 2020s. LNG shipments will be delivered to Osaka Gas’ terminals and its Singapore-based subsidiary, OG&P. The LNG will primarily originate from the new Ruwais LNG project in Abu Dhabi, set to become the first clean-powered LNG export facility in the MENA region upon its anticipated 2028 launch.
