Russian gas producer Gazprom transported 42.4 million cubic meters of gas to Europe via Ukraine on Saturday, unchanged from the amount sent on Friday. This comes after export volumes dropped earlier in August to 37.3 million cubic meters per day. The European Union has reduced its reliance on Russian gas since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022, although Austria remains the most dependent on Russian supplies within the EU.
