Recent data revealed that ship fuel sales at the UAE’s Fujairah port rose to a three-month high in July. According to the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) data published by S&P Global Commodity Insights, total fuel sales at the world’s third-largest bunkering hub, excluding lubricants, reached 621,679 cubic meters (about 616,000 tons). Monthly sales increased by 1.8% in July after declining for three months but were down 5.7% compared to the same month last year. Demand for refueling increased at major fuel ports like Singapore and Fujairah as crude oil and fuel prices fell throughout July. High-sulfur fuel sales increased by 18.3% compared to June, reaching 177,349 cubic meters in July. Total low-sulfur fuel sales amounted to 444,330 cubic meters, up 3.6% month-on-month.
