A recent study conducted by researchers from the German Technical University of Darmstadt and funded by the German General Automobile Club Foundation revealed that cars and motorcycles can be run on 100% non-fossil fuel without the need for modifications to their engines or software.
The study has proven the effectiveness of “Eco 100 Pro” as a sustainable alternative fuel, which opens new horizons for traditional cars and other types of transportation with combustion engines.
During tests that included several engines and cars participating in X-Cup races, in addition to tests on daily cars, no loss in performance appeared compared to using premium gasoline.
No increase in fuel consumption was observed and no technical problems appeared at the level of combustion engines. In addition, it was found that carbon dioxide emissions are at least 77% lower compared to conventional gasoline.
If renewable energy is widely used in fuel production, carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by up to 92%.
The encouraging results of the study demonstrate the possibility of converting current vehicles into sustainable and environmentally friendly means of transportation while emphasizing that the high prices of synthetic fuels constitute a challenge that hinders progress in this direction, Carsten Schulze, head of technical affairs at the German General Automobile Club, confirmed.
