The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, represented by the Emirates Company for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations, announced a collaboration with the Emirates General Transport and Services Corporation (“Mawaqalat Emirates”) to install and operate electric vehicle charging stations at Mawaqalat Emirates buildings.

This project aims to strengthen the electric vehicle infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates and support the transition to a green transportation system.

The project seeks to achieve several objectives, including increasing the number of electric vehicles in the country to 50% of the total number of cars by 2050, reaching the UAE’s strategic targets for climate neutrality by 2050, reducing emissions from the transportation sector, and encouraging the use of clean and environmentally friendly transportation.
