Abstract:
Since the military coup that took place in Niger in July 2023, the reactions of countries and organizations have varied. Therefore, this study will review the position of France, America, Russia, China, and Turkey, as well as the position of the European Union, NATO, the African Union, and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
The study then concludes that this crisis revealed the geopolitical importance that Niger enjoys, especially with France and other Western powers seeking to preserve their interests in the face of Russian expansion on the African continent.
